Alfa announces Giulietta pricing

Date: 29 April 2010

Alfa Romeo's new lower-medium car, Giulietta, which goes on sale in the summer, will start from £16,995.

Likely to be the carmaker's most popular fleet model, the car has three petrol engines - 1.4 120hp, 1.4 MultiAir 170hp and top-of-the-range 1750 235hp that will carry the brand's Cloverleaf status. There will be two diesel powerplants - 1.6 105hp and 2.0 170hp.

Three trims - Turismo, Lusso and Veloce - will offer customers "maximum user-chooser flexibility" said Alfa Romeo. The range-topping Cloverleaf will have its" own exclusive exterior and interior attributes" and starts from £24,495.

The Giulietta features Alfa's DNA system which customises vehicles' behaviour to suit varying road conditions and driving styles.

Standard equipment includes air conditioning, electric front and rear windows, Start&Stop, LED front and rear lights and six airbags.
