Audi reveals baby TT concept

Date: 12 January 2010

Audi has revealed a second, smaller, version of its E-tron electric sportscar concept at the Detroit motor show.

The baby TT concept comes less than six months after the first Audi R8-sized E-tron which was revealed at the Frankfurt motor show, again in concept form.

The new E-tron is just 3.9m long, more than 20cm shorter than the current TT.

Two electric motors produce 204PS and power the rear wheels. The result is 0-62mph in 5.9 seconds and a 124mph top speed. The lithium ion batteries give the aluminium baby TT concept a range of 155 miles. Audi also quotes a charge time of 11 hours on a standard socket.
