The start point for the best source of fleet information

CV industry gears up for new show

Date: 06 April 2010

The Commercial Vehicle Operator Show will run from 13-15 April this year at the NEC in Birmingham.

After the Commercial Vehicle Show was cancelled last year due to the recession, it was announced it would return in a new form for 2010.

This involves decreasing manufacturer participation and instead targeting transport operators with particular emphasis on environment impact, improved efficiency and profitability. Chief exec of the Society of Operation Engineers, Nick Jones, said the show will be "an ideal platform, especially for those specialising in vehicle maintenance equipment, replacement parts, logistics and fleet management systems".

While demand for the new show has been strong, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders, which organises said the original Commercial Vehicle Show, which it also organises, would return next year.
