Date: 17 February 2010

Kia's all-new Sportage small 4x4 will make people "sit up and take notice," according to UK boss Michael Cole.

The second-generation model is longer, lower and wider than its predecessor and offers more space for people and cargo, and is a major shift in design from its predecessor.

The new Sportage will be on sale in autumn with both diesel and petrol engines.

Michael Cole, Kia UK managing director, said: "Sportage was the car that really made the breakthrough for Kia in Europe and the all-new version will make people sit up and take notice just as the original did."
