Nissan has revealed an all-new Micra at the Geneva motor show today.

Looking not too dissimilar to a Renault Clio the fourth generation of the supermini will eventually include a three-cylinder petrol engine producing just 95g/km.

The all-new Micra is larger than its precedessor, but remains a small car in the supermini segment at 3.8m long.

Commenting on the engine line-up a Nissan spokesman said: "In Europe, a simple engine line-up sees just two engine options - both are variations on Nissan's all-new 1.2-litre petrol three cylinder engine."

The first is an 80PS unit with only 115g/km, while the second is a supercharged 98PS version with stop-start capable of 95g/km.

The low CO2 figures have been made possible in part thanks to a very low weight for a car in this class at just 945kg.
