Renault has announced the arrival of its Megane Coupe-Cabriolet, which will go on sale in the spring.

The new model features three petrol engines: 1.6 110hp and 130hp and a 2.0 140hp.

Diesel engine choices will comprise dCi 110, 130 and 160 DPF.

Price, fuel efficiency and emissions have not been confirmed but Renault said the introduction of its new dual-clutch automatic transmission on its dCi 110 engine will mean CO2 and fuel consumption comparable to a manual version.

The Coupe-Cabriolet will be the first Renault to use the new gearbox.

Features available on the car will include automatic electric parking brake, directional bi-Xenon headlamps and TomTom navigation.

The manufacturer said the new model "builds on the strengths that forged the success of its predecessor including a large, folding glass roof and user-friendly equipment".
