FIRST PICTURES: Revised BMW X5

BMW's revised X5 line-up will include the range's first sub-200g/km models.

The entry-level xDrive30d emits 195g/km - a 10% improvement, yet produces 245bhp, up 10bhp on its predecessor with 38.2mpg consumption.

The replacement of the twin-turbocharged xDrive35d with the new xDrive40d sees a 10% improvement on emissions at 198g/km CO2 while delivering 37.7mpg on the combined cycle.

Top model the xDrive50i with a twin-turbocharged V8 engine has increased power of 53bhp, taking the total to 408bhp and 292g/km CO2. There are minor exterior changes, including revised bumpers and light, and new aluminium trim.

On sale on June 5, prices for the X5 range from £43,980 to £58,175.

The facelifted BMW X5 will have eight-speed automatic transmission and standard equipment including leather upholstery and xenon headlights.

Options available include lane departure warning, active cruise control, speed limit display and side-view cameras.
