Newcastle-based leasing and fleet management provider Fleet is promoting its new Fleet Trak telematics technology by offering free installation of the GPS-based system during September and October.
Fleet Trak prices start at £19.99 per month and contracts can be cancelled with 28 days notice. Fleet claimed installation fees from rival providers could cost up to £100 per vehicle.
The company expects its offer to attract new business from organisations loath to commit to either buying or leasing telematics systems in the current economic climate.
Fleet manages a fleet of 4,000 company cars and vans and runs back office systems for leasing companies.
Founder James Law said: "We believe telematics will be standard in every business vehicle within the next few years because of the benefits the vehicle tracking technology can deliver."
