In-vehicle driver monitoring firm GreenRoad has helped cut Sheffield Insulation's fleet fuel consumption by 10% and accidents by a quarter.
Following a deal in August 2009, the firm has seen its fleet of LCVs improve fuel efficiency and safe-driving standards by using GreenRoad 360. The system measures driving skills and real-time in-vehicle coaching is provided as well as analysis and recommendations online.
Sheffield Insulations logistics manager Ian Gray said: "We could see the value in using GreenRoad's service would not only reduce fuel but also reduce accidents. We could then potentially work with our insurance partner to reduce insurance premiums too.
"We believe that launching a driver incentive programme alongside the service has contributed to sustaining safe and fuel-efficient driving."
He added: "Every month we give financial rewards to those drivers who have improved most or driven best overall."
