Hyundai announces ix20 prices

Date: 29 October 2010

The Hyundai ix20

Prices for Hyundai's ix20, which goes on sale on 18 November, will start from £11, 595.

The model is available with two petrol drivetrains (1.4 and 1.6-litre) and with a 1.4-litre diesel unit. In the UK Hyundai is offering the ix20 with three trim levels - Classic, Active and Style.

Standard equipment on the entry-level Classic includes a height adjustable driver's seat, ESP, air conditioning, six airbags, active head restraints, radio/CD with six speakers and MP3, RDS and USB/AUX/iPod input capabilities.

The Classic diesel comes in at £12.995 - £1400 more than the entry-level petrol version.

Hyundai expects the mid-range Active trim level to be the most popular. Slanted towards style conscious younger family buyers, it features 16-inch alloy wheels, body coloured door handles and mirrors and reversing sensors.

The interior includes Bluetooth phone connectivity, electric rear windows and audio controls on the leather-trimmed steering wheel.

Prices for the Active start at £12,695 for the 1.4-litre petrol and move on to £14,095 for the diesel and 1.6-litre petrol auto.

The price walk up from the Active to the range topping Style specification is £1000 across the line-up.

The Style features a dual panel glass sunroof with UV filter, front fog lights and electrically folding door mirrors with integrated side repeater indicators.

Metallic paint is available as a factory-fit extra for £395.
