Lexus RX is crowned UK's most satisfying car to own

Lexus has once more finished top of the annual JD Power & Associates Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Survey, winning the 2010 edition from Honda and Jaguar, while Mercedes-Benz and Toyota rounded out the top five.

Amongst the models, the Lexus RX off-roader took the top spot from its IS sibling, which tied for second with the Jaguar XF, both just shading the Kia Ceed and Honda Accord.

At the other end of the table, Chevrolet was adrift at the bottom, with Fiat and Suzuki rounding out the last three. The Ford Ka was the lowest-scoring model, with the Peugeot 206, Fiat's Bravo and Grande Punto and the Vauxhall Meriva coming out with the worse scores.

Conducted in association with What Car? Magazine, the survey is seen as the top indicator of which drivers are happiest with their vehicles across the categories of vehicle appeal, quality and reliability, ownership costs and dealer satisfaction. More than 17,000 owners were surveyed, with vehicles averaging two years old.
