Mercedes sees first diesel cabrio as big fleet opportunity

Date: 21 April 2010

The first drop-top diesel Mercedes-Benz should provide the company with "an opportunity" in the corporate sector, according to UK boss Wilfred Steffan.

The German premium brand is offering an E-class convertible with three different diesel options, from the 143g/km 170hp E220 CDI at £33,880 through to the 292hp E350 CDI, topping out at £42,795.

"It's a very interesting car for the fleet market," Steffan told BusinessCar. "It's the only offer we were lacking and with the dominance of diesel in the fleet market it should provide us with an opportunity."
