Mercedes unveils new Viano

Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its new-look Viano, on sale in October.

The carmaker's Blue Efficiency badge comes as standard on the Viano with CO2 emissions improved by up to 15% on its predecessor. This technology includes start/stop and low-resistance tyres.

The new six-speed transmission, standard with all four-cylinder diesel engines, also helps reduce emissions and improve fuel consumption, said the manufacturer.

Interior quality is improved, there is "significantly reduced" noise levels and new suspension offers "comfort, driving enjoyment and active safety", added Mercedes.

More details and pricing is yet to be announced but the four and six-cylinder diesel and petrol engines in the Viano will range from 126hp to 258hp.
