Mitsubishi has agreed a 500-car deal with Hertz for its new ASX crossover vehicle.
The Nissan Qashqai rival launches on 1 July, and Mitsubishi has committed the first 500 units of the 3000-vehicle supply between now and the end of March 2011 to the rental firm in a buyback deal.
"It was a good opportunity for both of us," Mitsubishi UK boss Lance Bradley told BusinessCar. "They get something new to the marketplace and we get 500 cars straight onto the road."
Hertz already has L200 pick-ups and supermini Colts on its fleet, and it will be the only rental firm running the ASX.
