The start point for the best source of fleet information

Nationwide goes mobile

Date: 15 September 2010

Nationwide Accident Repair Services has launched a mobile service to provide body and glass repairs on driveways and in car parks.

One fleet of vans, Nationwide Motorglass, will handle glass replacements and repairs and a second fleet, Nationwide Mobile Restore, will cover bodywork.

The mobile services will support Nationwide's 71 repair centres and the accident management service the company provides to businesses.

Nationwide said the new services would cater for fleet managers and private car owners increasingly reluctant to go to their insurers for minor damage due to the escalating cost of insurance excess.

Nationwide claimed its mobile offering is far more sophisticated and capable than that already provided by smart repairers in the marketplace.

It said its Mobile Restore engineers could complete repairs in a day consisting of up to two panels while its Motorglass technicians could handle repairs on any car or LCV.

Nationwide said its Mobile Services vans could cost up to £40,000 each to prepare and equip.
