Renault Espace revisions revealed

Date: 15 November 2010

Renault has updated its Espace MPV, with price cuts of up to £3000 and a smaller range designed to compete with the new VW Sharan and Seat Alhambra MPVs coming to market. The range is, for now, made up of 150hp and 175hp 2.0-litre diesel engines, the higher power version coming solely as an auto.

Both the Espace and the larger, and £1500 more expensive, Grand Espace have also been facelifted, with new LED lights and the firm's integrated TomTom system fitted as standard. The 150hp version of the Espace and Grand Espace also gets an 18g/km emissions reduction to 170g/km, with economy improved to 43.5mpg thanks to work on combating friction and revised gear ratios.
