Businesses are being advised to make sure staff aren't leaving their cars unattended while they warm up, in another weather-related warning.
The Association of British Insurers said thieves are increasingly targeting cars left with the engine running, and Lancashire police found 27 cars left this way in just two hours during the recent spate of freezing conditions, while four cars were reported stolen in this way in Greater Manchester in just one morning.
