Trimble acquires Punch Telematix

Telematics firm Trimble has acquired Punch Telematix, which will rebrand to Trimble Transport and Logistics.
Managing director Andrew Yeoman said: "Europe is a key growth area for Trimble as we look to expand our range of solutions in the region.
"Trimble Transport and Logistics' focus on transportation management expands Trimble's products and we are excited about collectively taking these unique solutions to the wider market."
The newly-branded company, which has an extensive customer base across continental Europe will continue to develop its CarCube and back-office solutions.
Yeoman added: "Transforming the world's work is our aim and this acquisition strengthens that vision. The combination of both companies' portfolios presents an unrivalled offering to businesses across Europe with a fleet of any size and mix of vehicles."
