Zenith Provecta signs 6000 vehicle deal

Date: 20 July 2010

Zenith Provecta has signed a deal to manage 6000 vehicles for Mitie Group, an outsourcing business providing facilities, property and asset management to companies.

The firm is providing maintenance management services for 3000 vehicles, a "wide-ranging accident management solution for just under 6000 cars and commercial vehicles and "an all-encompassing daily rental solution".

The new contract is in addition to Zenith Provecta's 590-vehicle Employee Car Ownership scheme, which is already provided to Mitie.

Justin Patterson, head of fleet for Mitie Group, said: "Many of our people need to be mobile at all times and Zenith Provecta's downtime management solutions for both maintenance and accident management, particularly their same day service maintenance and repair completion rates, were an important factor in their selection as a provider."

The Zenith Provecta team is managing around 700 service bookings and 500 tyre replacements per month for Mitie and have already saved 25% on its maintenance spend within the first two months.

Zenith Provecta said it has also combined Mitie's existing daily rental providers with its own panel of suppliers "to centralise the booking and invoicing function, while ensuring that bookings are managed within pre-agreed parameters and operating efficiently".

Patterson added: "We needed a flexible and service focused fleet management provider, who could deliver significant and ongoing cost savings. Zenith Provecta clearly demonstrated their ability to deliver all our requirements and as both companies are in the business of providing high quality support services to large corporates, the cultural fit was equally important."
