AA Insurance and joint venture partners Bollington are targeting fleet operators with a new range of commercial insurance policies tailored for the automotive sector.
They cover fleets; self drive hire operators, vehicle repairers and taxi companies. As part of the co-operation Bollington Group will offer AA roadside fleet cover to its commercial customers.
Barbara Cutler, head of AA commercial insurance, said the new products were: "a natural extension to its range and align well with the AA's motoring pedigree."
Whereas before AA concentrated on selling commercial insurance through customers who buy other insurance products it only represented a small part of the total business market.
Fleets can have policies to cover buildings, contents, liability, employers' and profession indemnity, tools and goods in transit, which apply particularly for commercial fleets and van operators.
