The start point for the best source of fleet information

AFRs remain unchanged

Date: 09 December 2011

HM Revenue and Customs has confirmed that advisory fuel rates for company car drivers will remain unchanged.

The rates are reviewed once a quarter, and HMRC has decided that this time round there is no need to alter the amount paid to company car drivers for fuel used on work business.

The rates cover petrol, diesel and LPG vehicles and are split into three different engine size categories, with payments ranging from 10p to 26p per mile. HMRC used the price of 133.4p per litre to set the level for petrol vehicles, and 141.1p for diesels.

The next review will take place in late February, to come into effect from 1 March 2012.
