Alphabet management changes

Date: 02 June 2011

Alphabet has revealed a new management team after announcing last month that it would be run independently of BMW Group Financial services despite still being owned by the car manufacturer.

The leasing firm also confirmed the promotion of MD Mark Sinclair to an international role, with former boss Richard Schooling returning as chief executive.

Schooling has disclosed a four-strong management team, which "reflects Alphabet's move to operational independence in the UK".

Schooling said: "This is the most significant development for Alphabet since we launched in 1997. It brings fresh impetus and innovation to the leasing and fleet management sector. The new structure gives Alphabet the right platform on which to build the next phase of its growth through continued investment in our people and systems."

Joining Schooling, who was previously chief operating officer at BMW Group Financial Services, is Albert Vissers, who becomes chief financial officer. He joins from BMW Financial Services Nederland. Former Alphabet general manager sales development Paul Hollick is now sales and marketing director while Matt Sutherland becomes chief operating officer following his role as head of vehicle operations for Alphabet and BMW Financial Services.
