Audi reveals A5 facelift

Date: 22 July 2011

Audi has revealed a facelift for its A5 models - sportback, coupe and cabriolet - available to order in September, featuring subtle design changes and improved engines. The most efficient is an updated 2.0-litre TDi 177hp which delivers 60.1mpg and 122g/km in a front wheel drive A5 coupe.

A new 204hp 3.0-litre V6 TDi engine replaces the 2.7-litre TDI and brings CO2 emissions down to 129g/km in an A5 coupe.

Starting from £25,540, the key objective to the facelifted three A5 ranges was to "deliver major gains in efficiency without compromising on performance that fulfils the promise in the taut and muscular lines of the A5," said the carmaker.

There is also an updated interior with new colour schemes and trims as well as an online services option bringing Google Earth mapping and internet access.
