Jaguar facelifts XF

Date: 05 May 2011

Jaguar has facelifted the XF range and will extend the brand's fleet footprint in September with the addition of a 190hp 2.2-litre diesel engine that emits 149g/km and returns 50mpg. Based on the i4D engine used in Land Rover's Freelander, it has undergone major revisions and is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and CO2-lowering stop/start system.

The restyled XF has a new bonnet, wings, headlamps, grille, bumper and rear light cluster - bringing it nearer in terms of styling to its XJ counterpart - while the interior undergoes an upgrade, including new seats and four levels of sound systems.

Adaptive lighting and cruise control are on the standard and optional specifications for a range that climbs from the entry model 2.2-litre diesel to the 5.0-litre, V8 supercharged petrol variant.

Pricing for the new car starts from £30,950.
