The start point for the best source of fleet information

Keeresources takes delivery of Nissan Leaf EV

Date: 18 November 2011

Automotive data expert KeeResources, the provider of BusinessCar's whole-life vehicle costs, has bought a Nissan Leaf electric vehicle and installed a charging point at its new High Wycombe headquarters.

With its 90-mile range, the vehicle will be used as a pool car between the company's three offices in High Wycombe, Basingstoke and Oxfordshire, as well as for journeys into the centre of London.

"In appropriate relatively short-haul usage, the car is clearly in a class of its own," said KeeResources managing director Denis Keenan. "This very significant milestone in the way our driving is powered will feasibly lead us all to consider the best or most appropriate vehicle types for our own circumstances in the future."

Keenan said the arrival of alternative-fuelled vehicles has led to a redesign of the company's cost forecasting and spend-capturing systems to allow clients to "properly evaluate needs, costs and benefits from each emergent technology".
