Loading ramp manufacturer WM System has introduced a new product to meet growing demand from the private hire and mobility sectors as well as van drivers wishing to retain rear view mirror visibility.
Since revealing its WM Light-R expanded mesh range at the CV Show in April, the company claims it has struggled to keep up with demand for the range, from which the lightest model weighs 30kg.
Sales director Llyr Williams said: "We've been noticing an increase in enquiries from the mobility sector, so the WM Light-R range has been developed with this market in mind."
Williams added that the Light-R was also popular with heavy soil loaders, such as garden centres and nurseries, because the mesh allows waste from the load to fall through rather than be carried into the van.
WM has included its swivel function with the aluminium mesh option, which allows the ramp to be stowed away when not in use so as not to impede access through the rear door.
