Mazda gets in line for fleets

Date: 03 June 2011

Mazda is targeting corporate business with the introduction of a new Business Line model to its Mazda6 line-up.

Priced at £18,300 on the road, the Business Line became available to order on 1 June. It is offered with a single specification that includes Sanyo TomTom sat nav with Bluetooth and 17-inch alloys.

The model has a 2.2-litre 129hp diesel engine and CO2 emissions of 138g/km. It sits in the 20% BIK band for 2011/12.

With customer deliveries starting in late summer, Mazda predicted 500 sales in the remainder of 2011, rising to about twice that number in a full year.

Mazda is offering the Business Line in what it claims are fleet drivers' favourite colours - black, silver and blue.

Mazda fleet and remarketing boss, Steve Jellis, pointed out the Business Line is the first model Mazda has targeted specifically at company car drivers through a combination of features and attractive BIK rates.

"Drivers choosing the Business Line will pay just £60.43 a month if a basic rate taxpayer ot £120.87 a month if a higher rate taxpayer. That represents fantastic value for money for a car with the style, performance and features of our latest model."
