Mitsubishi wins public service supply deal

Date: 08 April 2011

Mitsubishi has announced it has been awarded a place on the Buying Solutions vehicle purchase framework to supply vehicles to public services.

As part of the government's Efficiency and Reform Group, Buying Solutions is the national procurement partner for all UK public services and serves customers in central government, the health sector, local government and the wider public sector. The framework agreement officially launched in February.

Mitsubishi will supply vehicles in two Lots: Lot 1 covers passenger cars and 4x4s and Lot 2 covers light-medium commercial vehicles.

Mitsubishi already supplies bespoke vehicles to government agencies via its MSVO (Mitsubishi Specialist Vehicle Operations) facility in the Cotswolds.

Kate Woodward, the brand's corporate sales boss in the UK, said: "Our business adds value at every opportunity and our aim is to make the process of ordering a specialist vehicle simple and cost effective by removing much of the hassle from the fleet manager."
