The start point for the best source of fleet information

Next-generation Kuga unveiled

Date: 21 November 2011   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

Ford has revealed its all-new Escape SUV at the LA Auto Show. The car will be badged Kuga in Europe and replaces the firm's outgoing large 4x4 next year.

A complete redesign has brought the styling up-to-date with the rest of Ford's current range, and the Escape/Kuga will feature numerous creature comforts including an automatic tailgate that is operated by the driver making a kicking action at the rear bumper (similar to the VW Group system), park assist and a blind-spot information system.

Improved fuel economy over the outgoing model and lower emissions are also promised.

The European Kuga will appear at the Geneva motor show in March with a different range of engines and trim levels.
