Date: 06 April 2011

Land Rover's Evoque

Land Rover has announced that prices for its forthcoming Range Rover Evoque will start at £27,955 and rise to £44,320.

The model, which will arrive in showrooms from September, has a choice of three engines, two body styles, three "design themes" and a wide range of personalisation options.

The manufacturer has set up an online configurator to guide customers through the options available.

The entry-level model in the line-up is the eD4 Pure 5-door 6-speed manual 2WD model. The 4WD equivalent is £750 more expensive at £28,705.

The top of the range Si4 6-speed automatic Dynamic coupe with Lux pack is available for £44,320.

Engines include an updated 2.2-litre turbodiesel with 150hp or 190hp derivatives, Land Rover clamed the 2WD Coupe 150hp version will achieve CO2 emissions of below 130g/km. Customers will have to wait until early next year for this model, however.

The new 240hp 2.0-litre petrol unit combines direct fuel injection, turbocharging and twin variable valve timing and accelerates from 0-60mph in 7.1 seconds, said Land Rover.
