Saab reveals revised 9-3

Date: 17 March 2011

Saab has announced a revised 9-3, on sale from next month with prices starting from £21,495.

The refreshed line-up, which showcases new front bumpers, headlights and grille, offers 119g/km CO2 emissions for its 1.9-litre 130hp and 160hp diesel engines in both saloon and estate versions with manual transmission.

Two new 2.0-litre petrol turbo engines producing 163hp and 220hp also fall under the 160g/km Capital Allowance threshold at 155g with a manual gearbox.

Standard features across the range include alloy wheels, leather trimmed interior, heated front seats, park assist and Bluetooth phone integration system along with safety systems including electronic stability programme, six airbags and Saab Active Head Restraints.

All models now come with automatic dimming mirrors inside and outside the vehicle, electric folding mirrors and automatic rain sensor wipers as standard, a customer saving of £400.

There are two levels of specifications, SE and Aero.

Charles Toosey, Saab GB managing director, said: "We are very confident that the 9-3 range will be a great success in the UK and will appeal to motorists wanting a high performance, low emissions vehicle, with high levels of standard equipment and competitive pricing."
