Techies 2011 - Best Leasing and Contract Hire System: Tusker Fleetdesk/SS4C

Date: 23 August 2011

Last year's winner in this category has built on its victory and improved the system in the last 12 months.

The web-based password protected online contract hire, salary sacrifice and fleet management system allows managers a complete overview of their fleet, and drivers to view details of their current car, get quotes, compare and order their next vehicle within pre-defined limits.

The SS4C Salary Sacrifice Car system is an integral part of Tusker's system, and the company is currently offering salary sacrifice to more than 400,000 employees across 50 firms.

In the last 12 months, Tusker has added a fuel savings calculator to illustrate how a new car will compare with a driver's current model and developed an automated monthly lead time update, keeping drivers informed about when their vehicle arrive.

SS4C can be integrated with other benefit provision systems, including via a single sign-in screen, and can also be customised to a company or organisation's own branding.

The clincher for the judges was the new live chat function, allowing drivers to have an instant message dialogue with the firm, where Tusker can see the page a customer is viewing and respond to queries instantly.

The judging panel felt ALD Automotive's Touchpoint system worthy of a Highly Commended. It allows ALD to benchmark service standards against the industry averages, ensuring fleets and ALD are aware of the service levels they are receiving, thanks to driver feedback.
