Tracker reveals new vehicle idling tech to cut operating costs

Tracker has revealed new technology that offers fleet managers highly accurate vehicle idling data. Known as Transient Voltage Detection (TVD), the system is claimed to provide the most precise information possible and has the ability to reduce operating costs.
The TVD system activates when it senses an increase in voltage or detects the electrical noise from the ignition process, which increases its accuracy in determining real-world engine running times and exactly when the engine is switched on or off.
Tracker's MD Stephen Doran said: "This new technology is part of our ongoing march in developing new telematics solutions that will shake up how companies monitor the efficiency of their fleet, at a time when they need it most."
