Vauxhall rolls out Ecoflex on vans

Date: 02 February 2011

Vauxhall is to roll out Ecoflex models across its whole range of vans.

The new Ecoflex Commercial Vehicles range includes two new Luton-built Vivaros, a 2.0-litre CDTi 90hp and a 2.0 115hp version, both emitting CO2 of 185g/km. These new eco middleweights join the Corsavan Ecox Start/Stop, which came on board late last year and emits 105g/km CO2.

Moving up the weight range, the Movano Ecoflex, based on the 3.3-tonne L2H2 2.3 CDTI 100hp model, will deliver CO2 output of 202g/km. It hosts energy saving features such as manually-operated windows, door mirrors and door locking, a tyre repair kit instead of a spare wheel and a 56mph speed limiter as standard.

Vauxhall claimed Ecoflex Astravan and Combo would deliver CO2 emissions of 130g/km and 134g/km respectively.

Vauxhall's commercial vehicle brand manager, Steve Bryant said: "Vauxhall is the first manufacturer to offer an eco product for each model in its range."

With green credentials rising up the agenda of customer priorities, he added: "The Ecoflex badge clearly identifies to our customers the lowest CO2 model for each vehicle in our range,"

The full line-up of Ecoflex vans is available to order at Vauxhall dealerships from February.
