The start point for the best source of fleet information

VW launches Passat road show

Date: 27 January 2011

Volkswagen has this week embarked on a 50-day tour to showcase its new Passat to small businesses and fleets at business parks throughout the country.

VW retailers are hosting a hospitality unit accompanying the tour. The seventh generation Passat went on sale this month with prices starting from £18,875 for the saloon and £20,175 for the estate.

VW representatives are on hand to talk to visitors about contract hire and finance packages as well as information about company car tax and BIK implications. The brand has sold 600,000 Passats in the UK since launching the upper-medium fleet-favourite in 1973.

All diesel engines now carry the BlueMotion Technology badge and come with battery regeneration and Stop/Start systems as standard.

The new BlueMotion model, to be launched in mid-2011, will return a claimed 68.8mpg and emit 109g/km of CO2.
