Zenith's salary sacrifice in demand

Date: 21 September 2011

Leasing and fleet management firm Zenith claims to have taken more than 1500 requests for quotes for the salary sacrifice car scheme it is providing for Philips UK and its employees.

The initiative, restricted to sub-145g/km vehicles, is operated via an internet platform, which Nicolas Bedard, Philips UK's fleet manager, said provides an easy-to-use system listing all-inclusive monthly payments covering insurance, tax and servicing. He said it matched the company's "sense and simplicity" motto.

Philips' first employee to use the scheme, Robert Glover, said the "quick and easy" process had the benefit of generating an "actual payable amount quote with no hidden costs, which was more cost-effective", bypassing dealers and having the car delivered to his home address.
