The start point for the best source of fleet information |
Chancellor George Osborne has cancelled the 3p per litre fuel duty rise, which was previously due to come into force in January 2013.
During his 2012 Autumn Statement, he said: "There will be no 3p per litre fuel rise in January."
He claimed that fuel prices are 10p per litre now than they would have been were Labour still in power.
The statement itself shows that, while there will be no rise in January, a hike in fuel duty is scheduled for September 2013 and in subsequent years.
The exact amount has yet to be confirmed, but further details of this are expected in the April 2013 Budget.
