The start point for the best source of fleet information

AA DriveTech buys Peak Performance

Date: 18 October 2012   |   Author: Rachel Burgess

Driver training firm AA DriveTech has acquired Chesterfield-based driver training specialists Peak Performance for an undisclosed sum.

The company will continue to trade separately under its original management team headed up by chief executive James Sutherland.

Commenting on the acquisition, AA DriveTech's MD Jim Kirkwood said the move was part of its strategy as the UK's clear leader in driver education and road safety services.

He added: "With Peak Performance joining the family, we will not only strengthen our position within the UK fleet driver training and risk management market, but will also have a more visible presence within the northern half of the country.

"The customer service philosophies of AA DriveTech and Peak Performance are well matched so this will translate into unrivalled client support."

This is the third firm that AA DriveTech has acquired in the past 18 months, buying Harrogate-based Intelligent Data Systems last August, followed by off-road training company Nationwide 4x4 in January this year.
