Charging points to remain at grounds after Olympics

Date: 29 February 2012   |   Author:

The London 2012 Olympics will leave a legacy of 120 roadside charging points for the benefit of electric and plug-in hybrid car and van drivers following the games

Supplied and installed by ChargePoint Services, the GE Energy charging stations will be used during the games by the electric BMWs and Minis that will transport athletes and officials between venues.

CPS's sales director, Alex Bamberg, said he hoped the working relationship with GE Energy would result in "delivering many more projects in the near future where we have already put forward a joint offer".
