Ampera

Vauxhall has announced that its entry-level Ampera plug-in hybrid will be known as the Ampera Earth and will cost £29,995 after the Government's electric car grant.

This is the most affordable version of the firm's range-extender yet (the P11D will work out at around £2250 less than the existing Positiv model).

It is already available to order and standard equipment includes a DAB radio, Bluetooth and climate and cruise control.
