Eco driver training shunned by fleets

Date: 29 February 2012   |   Author: Hugh Hunston

More than half (54%) of UK fleets do not offer their staff driving training that addresses economical driving techniques according to TomTom Business Solutions.

Research conducted by the company suggests that 35% of businesses offer employees neither formal training nor tips on how to drive more economically, despite the fact that 83% believe that their drivers are speeding.

TomTom claimed that 27% of those surveyed offered incentives for staff to improve their fuel economy figures and cut costs.
