Honda announces fleet team changes

Date: 17 September 2012   |   Author: Rachel Burgess

Honda has announced that Lee Wheeler has taken on the role of manager of corporate operations.

He replaces Ed Hummel, who moved to Glass's after 18 months heading up the Japanese firm's fleet operations in the UK.

The company has also replaced former national leasing and SMR manager Oliver Parsons, who has taken up the position of corporate customer operations manager at BMW.

Jon Jacks, previously Honda's dealer corporate manager for the Midlands region, assumes the role.

Wheeler has worked for the marque for seven years and was most recently responsible for commercial and business planning.

"It really is an exciting time for Honda in the corporate market particularly with the introduction of Honda's new 1.6 i-DTEC diesel engine in the new Civic," he said.

Meanwhile, Jacks is responsible for growing Honda's share and volume in the contract hire and leasing market and dealing with management at leading leasing companies.
