Mini has revealed a seventh model in its line-up named the Paceman. Essentially, a Countryman with a coupe roof, the firm describes the new vehicle as a sports activity coupe with four-doors and a large tailgate.

Four engine variants will be available. The most fleet-friendly iteration will be the Mini Cooper D Paceman with a 1.6-litre 112hp engine, achieving 62mph in 10.8secs with fuel consumption of 64.2mpg and emitting 115g/km CO2.

The top spec Mini Cooper S Paceman runs a 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine reaching 62mph in 7.5sec and emitting 143g/km CO2.

Six-speed manual and auto transmission is available, while four-wheel-drive is also an option on most models.

Air conditioning, electrically adjustable exterior mirrors, the Centre Rail, the radio CD audio system with aux-in socket are included as standard on all models.

The Paceman goes on sale in 2013 and prices will be announced closer to that date.
