The start point for the best source of fleet information

More than half of businesses don't test for drink or drugs

Date: 14 August 2012   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

A survey by road safety charity Brake has revealed that more than half of businesses do not test at-work drivers for alcohol or drugs.

The organisation's annual survey of fleets, called Measuring the Risk, consisted of responses by 134 fleets and reported that 57% were not testing drivers for alcohol use and 63% were not checking for drug-driving.

In response, Brake is running a seminar to help businesses crack down on such activities.

Dubbed Zero Tolerance, it is due to take place on 25 September in Birmingham and costs £96 for Brake subscribers and £116 for non-subscribers. Email admin@brake.org.uk or call 01484 559909 to book a place.
