Nissan launches new NV400 conversion range

Date: 02 May 2012

Nissan used the CV Show to launch its range of NV400 chassis cab conversions and displayed a dropside and a tipper in medium-wheelbase modes on its stand.

With the introduction of the European Whole Vehicle Type Approval laws, Nissan's UK marketing boss Francis Bleasdale said operators were increasingly looking to manufacturers to carry out conversions in the factory.

"For dropsides and Tippers customers want an off-the-peg solution, it's less hassle," he said.

Bleasdale predicted that conversions will account for up to 30% of the NV400 sales mix.

With the introduction of the NV400 chassis cab conversions, Bleasdale claimed Nissan was the first manufacturer to offer both semi-forward cabs and the cab over the engine bodystyle that features on the existing Cabstar model.
