Ogilvie ramps-up daily rental service

Date: 25 June 2012   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

Fleet management firm Ogilvie has boosted its corporate daily rental service by partnering up with Nexus Vehicle Rental.

The move sees Ogilvie adopt Nexus's Intelligent Rental Information Software (IRIS) system, which will allow it to manage short-term rental for clients, who will also be able to reserve vehicles online from now on.

The partnership also allows Ogilvie access to rental vehicles on Nexus's fleet, broadening the number and types of vehicles available as well as increasing the firm's outreach in terms of rental sites. The firm also claims that the partnership will allow it to offer more competitive rates to businesses.

Fleet sales and marketing director at Ogilvie, Nick Hardy, said: "We are using Nexus's software systems to expand our rental proposition. through access to an enlarged supply chain and thus a wider range of vehicles from the standard to the specialist."

Nexus has also expanded further and is now providing a further three businesses with its software, namely Balfour Beatty, Leaseplan UK and Pendragon Contract Hire.
