Peugeot: Sporty RCZ update coming in 2013

Date: 24 September 2012   |   Author: Rachel Burgess

Peugeot has facelifted its RCZ sportscar, due to go on sale early next year.

As well as the introduction of a powerful 1.6-litre 260hp petrol engine, the firm will also extend its colour and material combinations to the exterior and interior, which is intended to increase customer personalisation of the car.

The updated model will have a new front and grille as well as fresh headlights and a choice of three roof arch colours and ten alloy wheel designs.

Prices have not been announced, but the current RCZ starts from £21,120 rising to £29,995.

Meanwhile, Peugeot has announced that its 2008 Concept, its answer to the Nissan Juke, will go into production in 2013.

Combining the 208, launched earlier this year, with the 3008 and the SCX Concept Car, the 2008 Concept is a "small vehicle combining agility, compactness, versatility and a striking style for young-minded city dwellers who love the city, while also loving to escape from it," said the French marque.
