Vauxhall Corsa cleans up with lowest CO2 Ecoflex model yet

Date: 02 November 2012   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

Vauxhall has announced its cleanest Corsa ever: a 1.3-litre CDTi Ecoflex variant capable of 85.6mpg and emitting 88g/km.

The aforementioned figures are for the three-door version, as the more practical and slightly heavier five-door offers 83.1mpg and 89g/km.

The changes come as a result of a number of minor mechanical and electronic tweaks to the engine and also due to the fitment of new 15-inch low rolling-resistance tyres.

The update also coincides with the introduction of a new manual gearbox, which is claimed to deliver a smoother change as well as operating more efficiently in hot and cold conditions.
