Vauxhall's Ecoflex brand needs awareness boost

Date: 15 May 2012   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

Vauxhall is looking to increase awareness of its low-emission Ecoflex-branded range in the belief that despite claiming to be the biggest-selling eco brand in the UK market, other green badges are more recognised in the industry.

"We have the best-selling range of eco vehicles in the industry across car and van - we're getting a lot of cut-through in the marketplace," said Vauxhall MD Duncan Aldred.

"The Ecoflex brand is more successful than the general awareness of it. We need to get it up there alongside VW's Bluemotion, which is the one people are aware of."

The Ecoflex range covers the main models in the brand's car and LCV ranges, with the lowest-CO2 versions of the Agila, Corsa, Meriva, Astra, Zafira and Insignia cars, and Astravan, Corsavan, Combo, Vivaro and Movano vans all toting the eco badge.
