Voting open for 2013 BusinessCar Awards

Date: 16 October 2012   |   Author:

The BusinessCar Awards 2013 are now up and running, and we need you to help decide which firms, products and services are worthy of these coveted trophies.

As the BusinessCar Awards are the only ones decided completely by

the industry - the readers of BusinessCar choose the winners in every category via our secure online voting system - so it's you that will decide which of the new cars launched this year will succeed the BMW 1-series in being crowned 2013 Business Car of the Year.

A year ago, your votes awarded the BMW the crown, with the Range Rover Evoque and Ford Focus filling the rest of the podium.

For the 2013 awards we've added a new category to the car section as hatchback-cum-4x4 crossovers such as the Nissan Qashqai, Skoda Yeti and Vauxhall Mokka, tested on page 35 of this issue, continue to grow in number, popularity and influence.

We wait to see which one will be anointed as the first BusinessCar Crossover of the Year.

We've also tweaked the Green Model of the Year award, mirroring the Government's attitude by putting a 75g/km cap on eligible models.

That means, at this stage, only plug-in hybrids and full-electric vehicles are eligible, although the tax advantages, at least until 2015, mean most manufacturers are working towards having something to offer in the near future.

And as a thank you for voting, five lucky readers will win a bottle of champagne, which we'll make sure gets to you in time to have a celebratory drink over the festive period. So there's no reason not to have your opinions heard by voting now at www.businesscar.co.uk/vote.
